An overflow crowd filled Democratic Headquarters on Saturday, March 15th, to hear attorney Caroline Knox speak on Elder Law. Ms. Knox is one of a handful of attorneys certified in Elder Law in the State of North Carolina. During her 90-minute presentation, she addressed key issues facing elders and their families, including wills, trusts, estate planning, and conservatorship.
Immediately following Ms. Knox’s talk, the Democratic Women of Henderson County held a brief meeting to present a slate of officers for the upcoming session. The slate was unanimously approved and will be formally voted on at the group's monthly meeting in April.
The Democratic Women of Henderson County was founded in 1977 by 144 pioneering charter members.
